Sterling Sharpe and the 2025 renowned temple arrive in Canton

CANTON – The configuration of the land for the reproductive temple week led to the 2025 class dragged to the canton benchmark on Thursday, July 31.

Antonio Gates, Sterling Sharpe, Jared Allen and Eric Allen appeared in the newspaper’s hall to discuss a little of everything that had to do with the temple of professional football renown on August 2.

The week seems to have obtained Sharpe in a deep reflection, beyond the novelty to be part of the tandem of the first brothers, with Shannon Sharpe, in the room.

While Sterling opened, he painted photos of himself in Glennville, in Georgia, by launching hay balls and animal pens that took care and living in a house without running water.

“This (the temple of fame) is not a dream when you live on the farm,” he said.

He made his way to a South Carolina scholarship and in a high recovery point with the Green bay packers. The daily life in these places was equivalent to living the dream, even if the years have been short.

His career in the NFL rose to seven seasons (1988-1994) with the packers before the injury to get him out.

It is not much to entertain questions about the creation of the room “despite a short career”.

“You can talk about what I could have, I should have, and I should have done,” he said. “You can compare me to Jerry and Tim and Andre and Calvin as you wish, but …”

Jerry Rice (20), Tim Brown (17) and Andre Johnson (14) all played much longer than Sharpe. Even Calvin Johnson, the passenger in short time, played two more years.

Sharpe wrapped 8,134 yards and 65 affected in its seven years. He knew he could play and loved the time he had.

The temple of fame?

“Being here, going to the temple of fame?” It’s not for me. I had what I wanted when I played. It’s for family and friends. It is an opportunity to thank them. ”

Sharpe underwent eye surgery in October and arrived in Canton, still dealing with complications concerning his right eye.

He said that, given the choice between making the room or having used his right eye, the eye would have a mile.

Meanwhile, he seemed to spend a whole time with the other class of the members of 2025. He was graceful and thoughtful while he was interacting with the media in the repository hall.

He said it was difficult to summarize the experience of the fame in words.

“Not everything can be talked about,” he said. “Whether it is tacit.”

The new temple of fame is divided into twosomes who clashed as offensive and defensive players.

Sharpe, who was 60 years old in April, and Eric Allen, a former corner half who will be 60 years old in November, had a long time to do the room.

Gates, 45, and Jared Allen, 43, arrive as relative young people.

All spoke a small shop in their standard stoppage.

Gates said he hates the Kent’s state basketball assistant who had led him to atrocious lengths in his days of specialization college in hoops. He loves this coach now.

Jared Allen, who made 136 NFL bags, gave a surprise response as to the most difficult quarter to eliminate. He didn’t even remember David Garrard’s first name, but he said he would never forget that the Jacksonville QB was a brick.

Sharpe, the receiver, said that Eric Allen, the corner, always seemed to know when a pass was not going to a certain receiver.

“I think three -quarters of his interceptions came because he cheated (towards the place where the ball was really going,” said Sharpe.

Eric Allen liked having played at the corner rather than security.

“Security often deals with the receiver after catching the ball,” said Allen. “I have to try to make sure he didn’t catch him.”

The media group authorized in the benchmark came from across the country and included certain voters of the renowned temple. The 2025 class arrived around 1 p.m. and stayed about 90 minutes before continuing a busy week.
