Who should represent Detroit Tigers in MLB All-Star Game?
The podcast “Days of Roar” debates that the players of the Detroit Tigers should make an appearance in the MLB 2025 stars match, scheduled for July 15.
Tampa, fl – Colt Keith couldn’t help but smile around the basics.
The 23 -year -old struck the most unlikely circuit of his MLB two -year career, equaling the scoring in the seventh round on Thursday, June 19, in match 2 of the Doubler of the Detroit Tigers against the Pirates of Pittsburgh to Comerica Park.
“His face says everything, so go get a snapshot,” said manager AJ Hinch.
The tigers ended up losing, 8-4, in 10 rounds, but the two-point Keith circuit in the seventh equaled the match, 4-4. He marked his fifth circuit in 66 games this season – and his 18th circuit at 214 games in the big leagues.

The pitch that Keith struck for a Home Run with a opposite field was 4.22 feet above the ground, tied for the second highest launch that a player struck for a circuit in 2025.
“It was really above,” said Keith, who is at 6 feet 2. “I was just trying to go up.
He struck a quick ball with four seams of 94.4 MPH from the right -handers of the pirates Isaac MattsonLocated above the striking area. The terrain seemed to be north of Keith’s shoulders.
To compare: Keith measures 74 inches high; The step was 50.64 inches above the ground.
In one way or another, he obtained his bat on the ball.
“It was quite high,” said Keith, hitting .247 with a .738 OPS this season. “I was just trying to get on him. He has a very good radiator and a good walk on it. My goal was to get out of it.”
The large swing occurred on the fourth step of the appearance of the plate. The first three throws: 86.8 MPH Changep (called Strike), 94.1 MPH Fastball (called Strike) and 94.6 MPH Fastball (dirty). He was down 0-2 in the count when he attacked the high radiator for a 353-foot home run on the left field.
Keith struck it with an output speed of 93.3 MPH.
“A huge smile on her face,” said Hinch.
Keith thought that the ball was going to move in foul territory and out of the game, but he had stayed right and continued to fly – all above the fence. Its seventh -round circuit increased the probability of tigers’ victory from 23.7%to 54.8%, an increase of 31.1%.
“It brought us back in the match,” said Hinch.

Javier Báez starts the second goal for the first time since 2021
In a career renewal, Javier Báez Hit 0.293 with nine circuits and an OPS .802. The 32 -year -old man also continues to contribute to a utility role for tigers, obtaining beginnings at the Copstist, the third goal, in the central field – and now second base.
Báez started the second on Friday June 20 in the opening of a series of three games against the Rays of Tampa Bay at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
Rays have a wave of left -handed strikers.
“Keeping it from the traction side with all these left -wing strikers was certainly part of the consideration,” said Hinch.
The Tigers put Báez in the second row, Keith in the third and Trey Sweeney at the Copped stop, with Gleyber Torres serving as a designated striker.
“There is not really in a negative way to play it – Colt in the second would be good, and Javy in third row,” said Hinch. “I love Javy in the middle of the field, so with Trey playing, the only way to keep Javy in the middle of the field is to move him second. He did this. Keep the labels to the second goal.
It was Báez’s first start to the second goal since October 1, 2021, with the New York dishes, exactly two months before signing a $ 140 million contract over six years with the Tigers.
Báez has already appeared in three games – covering five rounds – to the second goal this season, as is a defensive substitution.
