THE Lions I enjoyed very good health with their WRs last season. However, there have been great news from this offseason with unexpected knee surgery for Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Last season, the Lions only held four WR on the initial list of 53 men (St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Kalif Raymond, Isaiah Williams) although Tim Patrick was quickly added in week 2.
Here is the list of WRs that start with players with the biggest medical questioning points entering the season. The ages are at the start of the season.
# 1: Amon -Ra St. Brown – 25 years old
ARSB has been incredibly productive, still productive in recent seasons. It was available for the 18 games last year. However, a surgery of the off -season knee arouses some concern. It is not known when this injury occurred or if it is only an accumulation of small trauma over time.
Surgery is suspected of being an arthroscopic procedure to clean the cartilage. The severity of the cartilage damage is extremely variable, but the fact that it could play it effectively last season suggests that it is not too serious. However, any level of cartilage damage could become a problem on the road.
St. Brown was not placed on the puppy at the start of the camp, which means that it is ready to leave.
Projection: St. Brown probably continues to look like his elite self this season.
# 2: Tim Patrick – 31 years old
Released from an ACL in 2022 and a rupture of Achille in 2023, Patrick rebounded with an excellent season of 2024 reliable by playing in 17 of the 18 games. He obtained $ 2.5 million guaranteed on a one year contract during the offseason, which means that the Lions are quite confident in him for the coming season.
Projection: Patrick continues in his role as Big # 3 WR.
# 3: Kalif Raymond – 31yo
Raymond missed five games last year with a left foot injury, but was able to return for the last two games. He was very reliable and productive since he joined the team in 2021, but his age began to slip.
Projection: Raymond continues in his roles with a kick / shot boot and serves as a reliable WR backup. If the receptors in front of him remain healthy, his production remains low. But if there are injuries, Raymond will be ready to intervene immediately.
# 4: Isaac Tesla – 23yo
The Lions exchanged to hang it on the 3rd round this year because of its size and athletics. He had a fracture of the hand in 2022 but was otherwise in good health.
Teslaa was limited this offseason for unpertified reasons, but there is no sign of anything about. His absence of PUP is confirmation.
Projection: His production this year depends a lot on the health of the players in front of him. He will make a big jump in status next year when Patrick and Raymond may have left.
# 5: Tom Kennedy – 29 years old
Kennedy has been on and outside the team since 2019. He suffered a possible injury to arms / shoulders in 2023, but is expected to go healthy from the season. Last year, he played 16 offensive shots.
Projection: He will not list 53 men but will be available if the Lions need him during the season.
# 6: Jameson Williams – 24 years old
Some minor ankle sprains have been the only health problems since the return of his ACL 2022. He is young and in good health entering his fourth season.
Projection: The role and production of Williams continue to increase the fact of being the healthiest member of this group. Its 5th year option has been recovered, but it is possible that it obtains a before.
# 7: Dominic Lovett – 22yo
This 7th round recruit was in good health throughout the university.
Projection: With so many players established in front of him, Lovett is probably found in the training team.
# 8: Josn Her -Jews – 24 years old
This non -drained recruit had vague problems of university injury.
Projection: The training team would be a good result.
# 9: Jackson Meeks – 22yo
This non -drained recruit took place in 2024 for a hair fracture in its foot which is certainly something to watch. The Lions would have given him $ 200,000 to sign after the project.
Projection: The Lions have invested money in him, which suggests that he has a good chance of landing at least in the training team.
# 9: Malik Taylor – 29yo
Taylor missed the jets all year round for unknown reasons. His age and state of health make him a questionable adjustment for the Lions.
Projection: Seems to be a long time to make the team.
# 10: Ronnie Bell – 25 years old
Michigan fans remember his exploits with emotion, but Bell did not do much in the NFL in two seasons with the 49ers. He had an ACL 2021 which is not a concern now.
Projection: Unless he takes a big step in place, he probably has no role in the team.
