Over the past 25 years, Oregon Ducks have been one of the best teams in all university football, sitting near the sport of sport for a better part of a century.
Since 2000, Oregon has compiled a global record of 239-83 (0.742), with only two losing seasons during this period. They attended 24 Bowl games, won three Rose Bowls, attended a pair of university football playoffs and appeared in two national championships. They saw a winner of the Heisman trophy in Marcus Mariota and had 99 players selected in the NFL draft.
It is sure to say that when you look at the best of the nation in this millennium, Oregon belongs to the conversation. But who are the players who helped bring Nike University into this conversation? This is a completely different question.
To celebrate the brand of the quarter of a century, we are going to dive into this question in next month while we are approaching the start of the 2025 season. Ducks have had hundreds of memorable and loved players over the years, many of whom will live forever in one way or another.
But who is the best of the best?
This answer, of course, is subjective. When examining the figures and carrying out our research, we took into account several factors: career statistics, global impact and success, inheritance, adoration of fans and NFL’s success.
Boiling 25 years of Oregon football to 25 players is not an easy task, and not an task that we have taken lightly. Dozens of players have been left on the floor of the cutting room that deserve a place in the top 25, and at one point, names by subtracting the list began to want to pull the teeth. But in the end, we ended up with 25 players, which we will honor in the coming weeks.
If you want to catch up, take a look at the way we arrived where we are in the ranking:
Today, let’s continue with No. 13 – The King of Precision, Bo Nix.
Players overview
After three seasons from top to bottom as a starter of the Auburn Tigers, it was clear that the quarter-Arrière Bo Nix would need a new start to reach its full potential. He noted that with the Ducks of Oregon, quickly established himself as one of the best passers-by in PAC-12 and finally the nation with two solid campaigns in Eugene.
His punctual precision mixed with excellent decision-making skills has led to many victories with Nix to the quarter-back for the Ducks, while he wrote two seasons of consecutive two-digit victories. Also a presence on the ground, the QB 6 feet 2 inches and 215 pounds brought the Ducks offensive to perfection during his two -year term in Oregon.

Bo Nix NFL Draft
Among a highly talented QB class, Nix was selected by Denver Broncos with the 12th choice in total in the first round of the 2024 draft. It was the sixth selected QB, fulfilling an urgent need for the position in Denver.
BO NIX NFL Success
After a slow start to his recruit campaign during which he launched four interceptions against zero affected in his first three games, Nix rebounded and finished the season with 3,775 passing yards and 29 Touché passes (second more in the history of the NFL for a recruit behind his comrade Duck Justin Herbert). He directed the recruit course in both categories.
With Nix, who was appointed captain, opening the way, the Broncos finished 10-7 and made the playoffs as a seventh seed. The Buffalo Bills, second seeded, bounced them in Joker’s round – but seem to have found their QB franchise.
BO NIX’s sustainable heritage
Although his transfer was encountered by skepticism in Eugene at the start, Nix became a beloved figure in Eugene for her intensity and fierce leadership in the QB position as soon as he took the ground for the Ducks. By assembling one of the most impressive seasons of passage in the history of university football before leaving for the NFL, Nix rewritten the records of Oregon and obtained the support of the entire fans for the rest of his career.
